Charles University researchers have written a new chapter in success, with five of being awarded prestigious ERC Consolidator grants. This is an unprecedented achievement. Five more scientists from other institutions also received backing.

The Czech delegation won eight medals at the Paralympic Games which wrapped up on Sunday. Three athletes with ties to Charles University also participated in Paris and did very well - with one competitor finishing just outside the medals.

Radim Tauber was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and ADHD in the fourth grade, which explained why he so often had failing grades as a kid and was moved from school to school. His professors at CU, familiar with his needs, helped him to succeed. Most of all, he worked hard himself.
