The other recipients of this year's scholarships were doc. Ing. Gabriela Holubová, Ph. D. from the Department of Mathematics at the University of West Bohemia and Mgr. Jana Humpolíčková, Ph. D. from the Jaroslav Heyrovský Department of Physical Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The 200,000 crown scholarships are a part of the international programme of support for women in science.
2010 marked the fourth time the scholarships were handed out in the Czech Republic. The committee, chaired by prof. RNDr. Helena Illnerová, DrSc., were choosing three projects by women under 35 years of age out of 52 submissions. The For Women In Science project was launched in 1998 by UNESCO and the L'Oréal company.
